Prepare to be captivated by the magic of live music as Albany Town Hall presents the next instalment of Live @ the Town Hall, a series of extraordinary musical nights to light up your November.
Taking place over two Saturday nights in November, the series features national and international touring headline acts supported by up-and-coming local artists to suit all musical tastes.
National artists Felicity Urquhart and The Waifs Josh Cunningham will grace the stage on 4 November with a blend of blues, country, and folk music that will leave you wanting more.
Local talent Jasper Lemann will support the duo, delivering original acoustic country folk music that resonates with hard work and dedication.
Audiences will be left in awe of the unparalleled energy, joy and virtuosity of American act Foghorn Stringband when the four-piece visit Albany for the first time on Saturday 18 November.
Their genuine old-time American string band music is the gold standard of the genre, and with eight albums, thousands of shows, and over 15 years of touring, they celebrate music from a bygone era that still holds the power to delight audiences worldwide.
Local support act, The Whistling Kites, will have your toes tapping as they play and sing old-time melodies to get the night underway.
Curator Rod Vervest, who has over 30 years of experience in festival programming, said the event will bring an international flavour to the Live @ the Town Hall series.
“Live @ the Town Hall is more than just a series of concerts; it's a musical journey that brings together a rich tapestry of talent, both local and international,” he said.
“These artists, each with their unique styles, will create unforgettable moments that resonate with our audience. I'm thrilled to curate this series, and I can't wait to see the magic unfold at the Town Hall.”
Community is encouraged to take advantage of this incredible musical journey. Tickets are already selling fast and are available for purchase at Paperbarks Merchants.
