DISPLAY YOUR ART AT THE VAC - Art on the Wall Project
The Vancouver Arts Centre Art on the Walls project has expanded and is now open to all visual artists in the Great Southern Community aged 18 years and over.
The Art on the Walls project aims to support and promote the work of Great Southern artists both emerging and established by giving them the opportunity to display their work in the Arts Centre and assist them with artwork sales (should they wish to list their work for sale).

BECOME A TUTOR AT THE VANCOUVER ARTS CENTRE
The Vancouver Arts Centre is committed to activating the centre by offering a range of creative workshops and classes for children and adults including; regular term classes, school holiday workshops and a range of one-off day and weekend workshops throughout the year. Applications are open year round to artists with experience in delivering group classes offering instruction and tuition in visual art techniques using a wide range of mediums.

Through its Supported Workshop Program the Vancouver Arts Centre offers assistance to community groups, professional community arts workers and professional artists (including but not limited to visual arts, dance, music, film, media arts, literature etc.) to facilitate sustainable and autonomous workshop program initiatives and support the continued growth and development of arts and culture within the Great Southern Region.

CITY OF ALBANY ARTIST IN RESIDENCE PROGRAM
The City of Albany Artist in Residence (AIR) program is managed by the Arts and Culture team. Self-contained accommodation is provided at Mary Thomson House next to the Vancouver Arts Centre 1km form the Albany CBD. We have seven residency timeframes available over a 12 month period.
The AIR program provides visiting artists with the opportunity to:
- develop their practice through self-directed creative projects
- to share skills and exchange knowledge with the Albany creative community
- to develop professional networks within the region
- to contribute to wider community engagement with the arts
- to discover and share the rich Great Southern heritage and environment
- to contribute to raising the profile of Albany as a creative city.
