ART CONVERSATIONS 2026
Art Conversations is a free, informal one hour activity held in the galleries of the Albany Town Hall and Vancouver Arts Centre.
The public are invited to come together to discuss art in an open and welcoming environment.
Each session is designed to explore the subject of the scheduled exhibition through conversation and shared learning.
We begin with a ‘slow looking’ *activity, guided by the facilitator and designed to support art enquiry.
Participants are encouraged to discuss and listen to others about what is seen, felt and considered in relation to the artwork.
*Slow looking is a technique for engaging with art. It is the intentional practice of spending time observing a single artwork in detail rather than glancing at many things quickly.
FREE ENTRY- please rsvp as spaces may be limited in some of the galleries.
AGE 16+- A parent or guardian are recommended for participants under 16 years of age.
