“Having driven for 8 days from one treed and watered wondrous edge to another on the opposite corner of our vast continent, from one brilliant blue ocean to another, I sense my smallness and vulnerability, but also wonder and awe at the bigness and beauty. I explore fragility and resilience in our landscape in works on paper and clay with charcoal, graphite, collage and soft pastel. I respond to the big picture and to small details, with a respect for the layered history of this place.”
“I invite viewers to draw with me. I will be continuing my drawing in the exhibition. Materials … paper, charcoal, pencils etc… will be provided for participants, and I have a collection of leaves and gumnuts for subject matter. Come draw for a short or longer time!”
