THE ART ROOM

A Monthly Creative Studio at the Vancouver Arts Centre

First Tuesday and First Saturday of each month

Session Time: 9.30-1pm

Ages: 18+

The Art Room offers a welcoming environment for artists and makers of all levels to work on art and craft projects in a shared studio setting. Whether you're a painter, sculptor, illustrator, textile artist, or exploring another form of creative expression, this is a space designed to support your practice.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own materials and projects. The studio is equipped with tables, chairs, easels, and a wet area to accommodate a range of artistic activities.

This initiative emerged from community interest in accessing a space for specialised arts and crafts not currently offered through classes—such as jewellery making, paper sculpture, sewing, and other practices.

These flexible sessions give participants the option to attend once a month or join both the Tuesday and Saturday sessions each month. You can choose to book for the entire year in advance or register on a month-to-month basis, depending on what suits you best.

Creating at home can sometimes feel isolating. The Art Room provides an opportunity to work alongside others, exchange ideas, share skills, and draw inspiration from a vibrant creative community. Whether you're looking to finish a long-standing project, begin something new, or simply make time for your creativity, this space is here for you.
