INTRO TO POTTERY - HANDBUILDING  

Over 4 weeks: Saturday 7, 14, 21 and 28 June

Dates 7, 14, 21 and 28 June 

Time: 9.30-12am 

Ages: 18+

Join local artist Rosy Kerr for a 4-week introduction to hand building. Learn to create sculptures and functional items using slab rolling, coiling, mark making, and slip joining.

Explore different types of clays in this hands-on course designed for beginners and those looking to expand their ceramic skills.

Ticket p/p: $260 for 4 sessions

The Vancouver Arts Centre’s large meeting room will transform these July school holidays into an immersive art experience: The Luminous Landscapes of the Deep.

Inspired by the mysterious world of the deep sea and the fascinating creatures that call it home, The Luminous Landscapes of the Deep invites explorers of all ages to dive into creativity.

Use art supplies, upcycled materials, and natural objects to craft your own deep-sea creation. Add it to the growing underwater world or take it home as a keepsake. Whether you're sketching a glowing jellyfish or building a coral sculpture, there’s something magical waiting beneath the surface.

This is a self-guided art space and children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Join us for a delightful sea-inspired Storytime with Dora as part of the Albany Maritime Festival 2025!

Set sail on a fun and imaginative journey as Dora shares magical tales of the sea, ships, and ocean creatures. With her lively storytelling and interactive style, children will be swept into stories of adventurous sailors, curious sea animals, and life on (and under) the waves.

This family-friendly session is perfect for young readers and is designed to spark creativity, laughter, and a love of storytelling. There’ll be plenty of chances for kids to join in with sound effects, actions, and more!
