NATURAL DYEING WITH TEA

Ages: 8-15yrs
Join Linda Chambers for a hands-on morning learning the art of tea dyeing on silk, part of her "100 Chawan" exhibition.
This beginner-friendly workshop will teach you basic natural dyeing techniques, using tea to create beautiful, earthy tones on silk. You’ll receive a kit with a silk scarf and samples to experiment with, and no prior experience is needed. It’s a fun and creative way to explore this ancient craft!

Become a hi-viz fashion guru and decorate your own set of safety googles and vest.
Those earplugs will also work as some amazing hi-vis jewellery.
Time to get down and fluoro.

You'll have the opportunity to practice your skills and repair your own clothes in a supportive, hands-on environment.
Bring along any damaged clothing you'd like to mend, along with any fabrics or threads you'd like to use. Don’t worry—we'll also have a variety of fabrics and threads available for you to explore.
