THIS MONTH'S EVENT:

Art After Dark 2025 program launch / Connecting Threads Albany Woollen Mills exhibition preview

Join us for a special edition of Art After Dark as we launch the full 2025 program!

This year’s lineup features an exciting series of events, including four co-hosted gatherings with local arts organisations at their venues—bringing new opportunities to connect, collaborate, and celebrate our creative community.

Plus, enjoy an exclusive preview of Connecting Threads, an exhibition exploring the rich history of the Albany Woollen Mills (1925–2002). Project coordinator Sally Pell will share insights into the stories, artifacts, and creative interpretations that bring this important chapter of Albany’s heritage to life.

Come along, grab a drink, and be part of the conversation!

Art After Dark is a series of free networking events hosted by City of Albany’s Arts and Culture team. Art After Dark brings together members of our local creative community to socialise, make connections, share ideas and learn about opportunities in the arts world. Every Art After Dark event will feature a unique creative theme and take place from 5-7pm on the second Thursday of the month.

In addition to guest presenters, each Art After Dark will provide an opportunity for local artists/creatives to talk briefly about a creative project or pitch an idea with the aim of connecting with creative collaborators. If you have a story to share we’d love to hear from you! Please get in touch with Cultural Development Officer Donna Cameron ([email protected] / 6820 3851) if you’re keen to tell us about your project.
