CU at Art After Dark - Children’s University: Arts and Lifelong Learning
This month City of Albany’s Arts & Culture team partner with Children’s University to focus on the art education network.
The Children’s University program embraces local learning opportunities offered by places such as public libraries, zoos, parks, museums, art galleries, theatres, sporting clubs, school clubs as well as businesses. All learning experiences are designed to have links to higher education learning and courses.
The program particularly aims to reach children and young people, aged seven to 14 years, facing socio-economic and educational disadvantage. The program fosters aspirations and a love of learning for children of all backgrounds
The Arts & Culture team will also provide an update what we have coming up for the 2025 Art After Dark program.

Art After Dark is a series of free networking events hosted by City of Albany’s Arts and Culture team. Art After Dark brings together members of our local creative community to socialise, make connections, share ideas and learn about opportunities in the arts world. Every Art After Dark event will feature a unique creative theme and take place from 5-7pm on the second Thursday of the month.
In addition to guest presenters, each Art After Dark will provide an opportunity for local artists/creatives to talk briefly about a creative project or pitch an idea with the aim of connecting with creative collaborators. If you have a story to share we’d love to hear from you! Please get in touch with Cultural Development Officer Donna Cameron ([email protected] / 6820 3851) if you’re keen to tell us about your project.
