Swing Dance with Live Music by Rainbow Coast Big Band

If you’re ready to dance, get set to enjoy Swing Dance with live music by Rainbow Coast Big Band at Albany Town Hall on Friday 30 August.

Rainbow Coast Big Band first formed in the 1990's under the musical direction of Channel 7’s Will Upson and ran for over a decade. David Rastrick and other previous original members of the group reformed the band in 2018 with local musicians and music teachers, carrying on the legacy of great big band swing from the 1930's.

Rainbow Coast Big Band is a 17-piece big band playing swing music from the golden era of swing and beyond, featuring special guest vocalists The Bluebirds, Louise McKenna and Rusty Lynch.

The event will also feature a swing dance lesson with Andrew Kowald. 

Doors open: 18:00
Swing dance lesson: 18:30 - 19:00
Live music and dancing: 19:00 - 22:00
