ARTISTS’ STATEMENT Research on ‘fast fashion’ inspired the students to upcycle old clothing for their garment. With this garment the students have represented the beauty of the ocean and the detrimental effects of pollution on its fragile ecosystems.

MATERIALS/TECHNIQUES Upcycled second hand clothing, plastic, paint; materials have been painted, sewn and glued.
