ARTIST STATEMENT My garment looks into the use of common daily disposable plastic objects for which many still disregard the lasting impact on our environment. Their simplicity presents no perceived threat; in their singular state they seems fragile, but gathered together en masse they can become impenetrable.

MATERIALS/TECHNIQUES Bread ties sewn onto fly screen to create panels, forming the kurippu no yoroi, or armour of clips.
