ARTISTS’ STATEMENT The objective for the artwork was to display 40 garments. I sketched some designs that might work, none of them very exciting. An idea happened, and it was to have some big heavy rings floating in the air and to hang the garments from them. The art in this work was making that idea tangible in gravity, and the garments themselves.

Plywood, glue, nails, old house framing, slabbed timber.
