In this eight week workshop series, Artist Holly Pepper will guide participants through aspects of the printmaking process in a fun and relaxing environment. Each week participants will explore a range of printmaking techniques and develop their artistic skills and self-expression whilst designing and printing their own intaglio prints. Participants will learn to use a professional printing press and and sgrafitto tools to create their own dry point etching plates. At the end of term, each child will take home a series of prints including printed and hand painted etchings.

Suitable for upper primary to high school aged students ages 11-14 years old. Cost $100 per person – All materials included.

 About Holly

Holly Pepper is a multidisciplinary artist and qualified art educator whose works centre on printmaking, textiles and large-scale sculpture. Her practice has taken her across the world, exhibiting works and undertaken residency projects across Australia, Vanuatu, Netherlands and Samoa. Holly has recently returned to the Great Southern from Vanuatu where she was the lead consultant for the AusAid Skills Partnership Program which focused on upskilling Ni-Vanuatu women in textiles and printmaking as method to find financial independence. These international experiences have inspired many of her works. Holly brings her passion for creating engaging educational experiences and her love of different materials to her workshops.

Mastered the basics of watercolour painting? Want to go further? This might be the class for you..
For those who have learned the basic fundamentals of watercolour painting and are ready to extend their knowledge to the next level. This course will begin with simple subjects and progress by building on the skills gained in the previous lessons. Students will also be guided through the stages of composition and drawing to complete a series of paintings.
Classes will be commencing on the 13th of October and run each week on Wednesdays, with two class times to choose from; 9am – 12pm and 1-4pm. All materials supplied. Cost $190 for the 8 week course.
