SUPPORTED BY JAZZTRIX QUARTET – MILES DAVIS TRIBUTE

Jazztrix Quartet

David Rastrick's Jazztrix Quartet presents a tribute to Miles Davis, performing tunes from one of the most loved jazz albums of all time - 'Kind of Blue'. Jazztrix Quartet is comprised of David Rastrick - trumpet, flugelhorn and vocals, Ross Dwyer - guitar, Grant Moulden - double bass, and Lauchlan Gillett - drum-set. While the group plays jazz classics and original compositions, it has recently started doing themed shows, including The Blues Side of Jazz and Brilliant Bacharach. Two upcoming themes are a Postmodern Jukebox tribute and a Billie Holiday tribute. The group's tribute to Miles Davis includes works from the seminal album 'Kind of Blue', and other well known Miles Davis repertoire from throughout the innovative trumpet player's career. Formed in 2007 by David Rastrick in Woodijup / Margaret River, Jazztrix have opened for acts such as Carole King, James Taylor, Diana Krall, James Morrison, Roxy Music, Chris Isaaks, Paul Kelly and more, at the Leeuwin Concert. Jazztrix original albums 'Jazztrix', 'Rastajazz - A Jazz Reggae Journey', and 'Fragments and Dreams' can be found online.
