Printmaking for Teens with Holly Pepper
Tuesdays 4pm – 5:30pm, October 12 – November 30 ( 8 Week Course)
Cost $100, all materials included
In this eight week workshop series, participants will learn about aspects of the printmaking process in a fun and relaxing environment. Each week participants will explore a range of printmaking techniques and develop their artistic skills and self-expression whilst designing and printing their own intaglio prints. Participants will learn to use a professional printing press and and sgrafitto tools to create their own dry point etching plates. At the end of term, each child will take home a series of prints including printed and handpainted etchings Suitable for upper primary to high school aged students ages 11-14 years old. About Holly
Holly Pepper is a multidisciplinary artist and qualified art educator whose works centre on printmaking, textiles and large-scale sculpture. Her practice has taken her across the world, exhibiting works and undertaken residency projects across Australia, Vanuatu, Netherlands and Samoa. Holly has recently returned to the Great Southern from Vanuatu where she was the lead consultant for the AusAid Skills Partnership Program which focused on upskilling Ni-Vanuatu women in textiles and printmaking as method to find financial independence. These international experiences have inspired many of her works. Holly brings her passion for creating engaging educational experiences and her love of different materials to her workshops.
