EXHIBITION CALL OUT UPDATE

Join us on Thursday 12 September for Art After Dark. This month Visual Arts Officer Indra Geidans and VAC Coordinator Tahli Crosby will present information on the exhibition call out application process for the Albany Town Hall and Vancouver Arts Centre galleries and provide useful tips on how to make your application competitive.

This month’s event will be held in the Town Hall gallery, so you’ll also have a chance to check out the current Great Southern Pastel Artists exhibition Purity of Pastels, a showcase of the brilliance, immediacy, beauty, versatility and precision of pastel as an artistic medium.

Art After Dark is a series of free networking events hosted by City of Albany’s Arts and Culture team. Art After Dark brings together members of our local creative community to socialise, make connections, share ideas and learn about opportunities in the arts world. Every Art After Dark event will feature a unique creative theme and take place once a month, from 5-7pm on Thursday evenings.

In addition to guest presenters, each Art After Dark will include a Share Your Meraki session, providing an opportunity for local artists/creatives to talk briefly about a creative project or pitch an idea with the aim of connecting with creative collaborators. If you have a story to share we’d love to hear from you!
